Skye’s heifer, Fern, had a darling little calf at the end of May…
It was a heifer (yay!), and Skye named her Matilda – which means “mighty in battle”; a fitting name for her since she can be stubborn while being halter-trained. You should have seen Ruby tugging on the lead rope and saying, “Come on, Matiladuh! Come on!” 🙂

The garden has grown quite well; we are overflowing with lettuce. Yesterday, though, a storm blew in and knocked over the corn and sunflowers.
