You may be wondering why we haven’t posted for a while… Well, we have big news. Our house in Washington sold! So we’ve been busy with driving there, packing up, and then driving back… And everything else… And accidentally leaving our laptop in Iowa (Yes, we did get it back!). It was crazy, well, in some ways! We were very shocked that we actually fit almost all of our stuff in that 24 foot moving van! Our family was very blessed by friends and neighbors who pitched in to help; by packing, cleaning, making food for us, loading up the moving truck (No, I don’t think we could have done it without all that wonderful help!), giving us a place to spend a few nights, (after the beds were packed into the truck), and driving the moving van all the way across the country with us! We couldn’t have done anything without God. He literally opened up a way for us… through the wilderness. There were storms on both sides of us, but He gave us great weather! Through the beautiful mountains of Idaho and Montana, and the rugged plains of South Dakota, and the flatlands of Iowa. In fact, we had absolutely amazing weather for those places… in December! We basically crossed over on dry land! It reminded us of the Israelites crossing the Red Sea. So, here our some pictures from our crazy adventure…
Pearl and Laurel traveling!
Welcome to South Dakota!
See the mountains in the background? This is near Wall, South Dakota.
A beautiful sunset
We stopped at our friends’ house in Montana along the way.

Waiting at the top of the staircase to sing for Mom…
Praise God for a loving Mother! Happy birthday, Mom!
The mountains are so beautiful!
In the midst of all the busyness, my family managed to get together a surprise birthday party for me! Laurel wanted to sit on my lap 🙂
Grandpa Tim and Uncle O took us all out to dinner.
Back to packing… and packing… and packing…
Skye and Pearl wrapping up highchairs 🙂 A little bit like wrapping up presents… except being sad (about moving far away from friends and loved ones)!

I’m going to miss those beautiful evergreens! Especially since I’m from Washington, The Evergreen State! (No, it isn’t always green in eastern WA:)
Back at our friends’ house!
Another birthday party for me! Oh dear! 🙂 Thank you!
They waved us all the way down the lane when we left 🙂

We even visited the Blue Bunny Ice Cream Museum in Le Mars, Iowa

We had to get ice cream, right?
Praise the LORD! We made it!
Yes, it was very hard to say good bye to everything we knew and held dear in Eastern Washington. But the God we serve strengthens and upholds us in time of need. He is the One that brought Israel over the Red Sea on dry ground, and He guided us safely here to the Ozarks. Whatever your circumstances may be, trust God. No matter how painful, or sad, or scary things may seem, God is bigger than them, and He is in control. There is no pit so deep, that God is not deeper still. 🙂
107 O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
3 And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.
4 They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.
5 Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
6 Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
7 And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
8 Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
