This past weekend we went and explored the Kansas City area. It was an overnight trip, so Skye and I made some food to bring, while Mom packed and arranged lodging in Kansas City. We left in the afternoon, so we didn’t arrive at our destination until it was quite dark.
This was before we left. The girls were so cute
playing ‘car’ under the desk!
Ruby was so tired. This picture is on the way
to Kansas City.
Daddy was the pilot, and Mom the co-pilot
of The Airbus.
Four of the Seven Sisters.
We saw lots and lots of cattle while traveling.
It reminded some of us of the verse “For every
beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon
a thousand hills.” (Psalm 50:10)
Lake of the Ozarks.
Laurel’s dinner. She’s holding her
baby doll ‘Jenna’.
Heather and Pearl reading.
Getting into the big city.
Heather and Ruby, the following morning,
in our motel room.
Rose and Laurel waiting…
Ruby is such a darling!
Rose eating her food.
We finally left after breakfast,
and enjoyed doing some exploring.
Laurel among the Osage Oranges,
commonly known around here
as Hedge Apple, or simply Hedge.

We went through Jefferson City on the way
back. The tall dome is the capitol building.
We got back late Saturday night. The next
day it snowed, so the girls got to go outside
and play. In this picture they are on the
deck. Rose is making a ‘fort’ out of the
snow. I don’t think it was ever completed!
“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
